On Friday, we started our cluster of lessons on humor by talking about sarcasm, which is saying one thing but meaning the opposite and ensuring that it's clear that you are not to be taken literally. Today, we began our conversation about parody, which is a comical imitation of a work of art, music, etc.

English 9 and 9 Honors

On Friday, the guidance counselors met with you to discuss scheduling for next year. You can find all of this in their Google Classroom. After that, you had time to work on your immoral law assignment, which was due on Sunday. Turn it in if you haven't done so! Today, we talked about the first part of our historical context forĀ To Kill A Mockingbird, which was a recap of The Great Depression, The Dust Bowl, and some new information about Hoovervilles.
