Today we read the story of Arachne. Don't forget to fill out the plot of this myth in your packets, and don't forget that your independent reading check-in is tomorrow!

English 9 and English 9 Honors

It's important to slow down sometimes and take some space for yourselves. I hope you're all able to do that today. In fact, that's the homework assignment for the entire 9th grade: take 15 minutes where you do absolutely nothing and just let your mind wander. Don't work on any English today! Just relax. Unless you want to write the chicken nugget "essay" for extra credit, honors group. 🙂

In the honors class, we talked about the next essay, but I don't want you to work on it yet. In the English 9 classes, we connected Pixar shorts to different literary devices.

No more English for you now, 9th graders. Go relax. You've earned it.

English 9 Honors

Hopefully, you were able to get your introductions and conclusions done today! Tomorrow we'll talk about self- and peer-editing.
